Roles and Responsibilities

Should have strong written & verbal communication skills.

Should be able to handle level 3 (extensive/heavy) editing & should have had experience handling level 3 copyediting.

Should be able to handle both language editing and technical editing for journals.

Well versed or should have hands on experience in major manuals like CMS, AMA, APA, ACS, etc., or should be able to meet the customer requirements when customer states to use any one of these manuals for copyediting.

Should be able to work on BaKoMa or TeX files.

Should be able to meet tight turnaround times.

Should be able to work with editing-related tools.

Should be able to clear XML-related errors and deliver XML-error-free files to the next stage.

Should be more flexible.

Desired Candidate Profile

Should be able to level 2 & 3 edit journal articles of a reputed publisher meeting all publishers quality & turnaround time (TAT) requirements.

Working time: Three-shift (6 am to 2 pm, 2 pm to 10 pm, & 10 pm to 6 am) operation alternately.
